My Evening Echo Debut!

Having this article published in The Evening Echo really made me reflect on how much that paper has been a part of my life. Growing up, The Echo was always in our house. It was such a big part of our family, and I can still remember how proud my mam would be to read about local stories and happenings. So, to have my own story featured in the very paper that meant so much to her is truly special.

When I think about my journey from Blackrock and Mahon to New York, I’m reminded of how those Cork roots shaped me. Moving to New York was a dream, but it hasn’t been without its challenges, especially losing my mam while living so far away. Yet, reading my story in The Echo made me feel connected to home in a way I didn’t expect.

I joked to my siblings that Mam would have been thrilled if it had been The Echo that published my piece, and that’s the truth!
